About the Role
As an Assistant Manager – ISO 27001 Specialist, you will be part of Deloitte’s Cyber Strategy & Transformation team. You’ll work with clients to assess their cybersecurity posture, implement information security management systems, and align governance processes with international standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
Your role will involve strategic advisory, IT audit management, SLA governance, and cyber risk assessment, ensuring business resilience and data protection for high-impact clients across industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ISO 27001 Implementation & Audits: Conduct gap assessments, risk analysis, and compliance reviews.
- Develop ISMS Frameworks: Design and document security policies, procedures, and controls in line with ISO 27001 standards.
- Manage IT Audits: Plan, execute, and oversee internal and external IT audits across data centers, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Cybersecurity Strategy: Support cyber risk management initiatives, data protection strategies, and compliance roadmaps.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with C-suite, IT leadership, and technical teams to ensure effective governance and SLA adherence.
- Project Management: Manage cybersecurity and transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Risk & Compliance Monitoring: Maintain documentation, monitor performance metrics, and ensure continuous improvement in security maturity.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for internal and client teams on cybersecurity best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in:
- IT Audit / IT Infrastructure / Data Center / IT Systems / Consulting
- Project Management / SLA Monitoring / Cyber Risk Management
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, ITGC, and risk-based audit methodologies.
- Strong understanding of network security, access controls, cloud security, and data protection frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and drive results in high-pressure environments.
Professional Certifications (Mandatory/Preferred)
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (LA) – Mandatory
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) – Preferred
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – Preferred
- PMI-PMP or equivalent project management certification – Advantageous
