About the Role
The Assistant Manager – Accounting & Reporting will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and reporting services, ensuring adherence to Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP standards. You will support audit and assurance teams, manage financial reporting deliverables, and contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen Deloitte’s client relationships.
This role is ideal for qualified Chartered Accountants with a strong foundation in accounting standards, financial modeling, and reporting automation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP compliant financial statements, including consolidated reports.
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with business objectives.
- Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to management.
Assurance & Technical Expertise
- Independently execute Ind AS engagements and research complex technical accounting issues.
- Stay updated on the latest accounting pronouncements, laws, and regulations.
- Ensure consistent application of global accounting standards and internal controls.
Process Improvement & Advisory
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting, and systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Support strategic planning, investment evaluations, and business case development.
ERP & Technology Enablement
- Utilize ERP platforms like SAP, S4 HANA, Oracle, and MS Dynamics for accounting operations.
- Work with large datasets and perform advanced analysis in MS Excel.
- Exposure to Power BI and Tableau is an added advantage for visualization and reporting.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – maximum 4 attempts in CA Final.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Ind AS, and working familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, audit preparation, and accounting assurance.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to data analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and manage deadlines.
