Key Responsibilities
As a GCP Cloud Consultant at Deloitte, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions using GCP services.
- Implement cloud infrastructure automation and manage cloud assets efficiently.
- Build scalable solutions using Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, and other GCP tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production cloud environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, UAT test cases, and deployment runbooks.
- Coordinate with clients to gather cloud transformation requirements.
- Ensure secure and compliant cloud practices using best-in-class networking and security protocols.
- Participate in performance tuning, backups, and recovery strategy planning.
- Identify process improvements and recommend automation opportunities.
Must-Have Skills & Expertise
GCP Cloud Expertise
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services:
- Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk, Filestore, Cloud IAM, Cloud SQL
Cloud Infrastructure & Scripting
- Experience with SAN, NAS, DAS storage systems
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and other automation tools
Backup & Recovery
- Hands-on with Veeam, Commvault, or similar data backup platforms
Networking & Security
- Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, identity management, and security best practices
Problem Solving & Collaboration
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to solving technical issues
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud consulting roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
- GCP Cloud certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer / Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
- Experience working in consulting environments or directly with enterprise clients
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
