As the AGM – Finance & Accounts at L&T Precision Engineering’s Kattupalli Shipyard, you will lead and manage all financial operations in a challenging shipbuilding environment, overseeing day-to-day accounting, SEZ operations, CAPEX, audits, and stakeholder coordination. This high-impact role requires a seasoned financial leader—preferably a Cost and Management Accountant (CMA)—with expertise in shipyard finance, ERP systems, cost control strategies, SEZ regulations, and GST compliance. Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Accounting Leadership

• Oversee day-to-day accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage SEZ operations, banking liaison, and CAPEX accounting protocols.
• Coordinate financial processes with the Shipbuilding Office (Manapakkam) and IC Office (Mumbai).

Cost Control & Financial Reporting

• Analyze financial data and craft cost optimization strategies.
• Lead internal and external audits, maintain thorough documentation, and support compliance.
• Handle fixed assets accounting and depreciation management.

Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Liaison

• Ensure GST compliance, timely return filing, and adherence to customs/SEZ norms.
• Handle appeals and representation with statutory authorities as needed.
• Manage insurance matters: negotiating with insurers, advisors, and surveyors.

Production Insight & Process Management

• Understand shipyard production workflows and integrate financial controls into operations.
• Partner with production departments to align financial strategy with operational execution.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team; mentor and guide subordinates.
• Serve as a proactive financial partner to management and other departments.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and government authorities.

Skills & Competencies

Must-Have:

• CMA qualification with 14–20 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERP-based accounting and financial systems.
• In-depth understanding of SEZ operations, GST laws, CAPEX, and fixed asset accounting.
• Proven record in cost control, budgeting, and audit management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in shipbuilding or heavy industrial operations.
• Exposure to insurance, legal compliance, and manufacturing financial processes.
