Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Budget Management
- Lead preparation and review of annual budgets across business units, departments, and projects.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and error-free quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Analyze Profit & Loss schedules and Balance Sheet data to support strategic decision-making.
Accounting & Compliance Oversight
- Guide financial accounting processes, enforce internal controls, and resolve accounting issues.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, coordinate with corporate accounts and taxation teams.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and statutory requirements including GST.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow and working capital, optimize vendor credit levels, and manage collections.
- Prepare monthly cash budgets to maintain optimal liquidity.
- Identify and release funds blocked in current assets, and review sales invoicing compliance.
Risk & Treasury Management
- Manage financial risks including forex and commodity exposures through effective hedging.
- Oversee risk assessments related to new market entries and execution risks.
- Negotiate with bankers and financial institutions for financing and treasury management.
Stakeholder Relations & Negotiations
- Coordinate with GST and tax authorities for assessments and compliance.
- Negotiate commercial terms with clients and vendors to ensure contractual adherence.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
People Development & Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance, Accounts & Administration team.
- Drive training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and support business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12-20 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting.
- Expertise in accounting standards, financial controls, and GST compliance.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow management, working capital optimization, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools such as Hyperion Financial Reporting is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver accurate financial insights.
