Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Planning Manager, your core duties will include:
- Developing and maintaining the Master Schedule and establishing the Project Baseline for civil construction projects.
- Conducting continuous tracking, supervision, and monitoring of project timelines and deliverables.
- Issuing Quarterly and Monthly Work Plans, identifying project constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Generating progress reports for senior leadership, flagging potential delays and recommending corrective actions.
- Conducting weekly site visits, documenting findings, and coordinating on-site planning needs.
- Collaborating with contracts, estimation, procurement, and execution teams to ensure timely availability of materials, labor, and contractor resources.
- Coordinating with architects and consultants to finalize drawings, track statutory approvals, and align with execution schedules.
- Reviewing construction drawings, BOQs, and area analysis reports for planning accuracy.
- Assisting in scope definition, material selection, methodology, and specification decisions.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in construction planning and project scheduling
- Proficiency in project baseline development and progress monitoring
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to cost, time, safety, and quality
- Skilled in coordinating across engineering, procurement, and site execution teams
- Hands-on experience in drawing review, BOQ analysis, and RFI workflows
- Excellent reporting and communication skills for senior stakeholder updates
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify project delays and drive resolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech)
- Minimum of 14–17 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling for real estate or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of project planning software and reporting tools is preferred
