Key Responsibilities
🧾 Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and cost plans for new and ongoing real estate projects.
- Analyze technical drawings, design documents, and specifications to ensure accurate costing and budgeting.
💰 Budget Monitoring & Cost Control
- Track and analyze actual vs. budgeted project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and report cost variances and propose corrective actions.
- Conduct cost impact assessments for change orders and scope revisions.
🛠️ Vendor Cost Evaluation & Rate Analysis
- Support the tendering process by evaluating contractor and vendor pricing.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to validate market rates, vendor quotations, and material costs.
⚙️ Cost Reporting & Data Management
- Develop and maintain a centralized cost database including historical cost records and current market rate trends.
- Generate cost reports and project dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
🧩 Value Engineering & Compliance
- Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize costs without compromising on quality or compliance.
- Ensure cost practices adhere to company standards, industry norms, and contract agreements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and quantity surveying
- Excellent command of Excel, costing software, and ERP tools
- Familiarity with real estate construction processes and materials
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (B.Tech/B.E)
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in costing, budgeting, or project controls within the real estate or construction industry
