Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Manager in Accounting & Reporting, you will:
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, monthly, and annual regulatory reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, fluctuations, and anomalies.
- Execute reconciliations across reports, schedules, and general ledgers.
- Maintain and manage client relationships and external regulatory communications.
- Lead engagements involving IFRS, US GAAP, and Ind AS accounting.
- Develop consolidated financial statements and assist in multi-GAAP reporting.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and support implementation of new policies.
- Train, coach, and mentor junior staff, fostering a learning-driven culture.
- Participate in thought leadership activities including technical articles and trainings.
- Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
Desired Skills
Core Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, and GAAP differences.
- Ability to draft Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Strong reconciliation, variance analysis, and data interpretation skills.
- Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and process governance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
- Understanding of Hedge Fund Accounting and MIS/FP&A systems.
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication (written and verbal).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA certified.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting, Audit, or Financial Reporting.
- Knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS, US GAAP, and consolidated reporting is essential.
