Responsibilities
- Lead and support M&A transaction diligence, financial analysis, and reporting throughout deal lifecycles
- Prepare transaction marketing materials: teasers, pitch books, information memoranda, and corporate profiles
- Conduct in-depth company and industry research to identify financial and strategic buyers
- Build and review financial models, including relative valuation and complex valuation assessments
- Manage and deliver multiple M&A projects on time, ensuring high-quality, accurate outputs
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering skill development
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to exceed expectations and drive deal success
- Navigate tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and quality control
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial statements and perform valuation analysis
- Proficient in M&A research, due diligence, and transaction advisory processes
- Experience using financial databases: Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, Thomson Reuters
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for client interaction and report writing
- Proven ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with diverse teams
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and business acumen
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- 5-8 years’ experience in M&A transaction diligence, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting
- Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, CPA or advanced degrees like MBA or Masters in Finance/Economics
- Track record of academic and professional success from reputed institutions
- Experience with boutique or mid-market investment banks or top-tier consulting firms is highly desirable
