Deloitte India is hiring a Deputy Manager – ICC (Transaction Diligence, Execution & Reporting) in Mumbai to drive impactful corporate finance advisory projects. About the Role

As a Deputy Manager in Deloitte’s Transaction Services – FDD Team, you will manage financial due diligence projects, lead analysis of target businesses, and provide strategic insights that influence M&A decisions and capital market transactions. You will collaborate with partners, directors, and senior managers while mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-border teams.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Services & Financial Due Diligence

• Analyze target companies through financial statements, cash flow, and balance sheet review.
• Evaluate projections and underlying assumptions to identify risks and value drivers.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, including Excel models and PowerPoint presentations, on schedule.
• Support acquisition, vendor due diligence, bid defense, and capital market transactions.

Client Advisory & Reporting

• Communicate insights and key issues to clients and leadership teams.
• Assist clients from multinationals, private equity houses, and owner-managed businesses.
• Advise clients during financial distress, refinancing, or strategic transactions.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior team members and manage engagement teams.
• Participate in cross-border assignments, collaborating with international Deloitte teams.
• Ensure adherence to Deloitte’s quality standards, risk management, and ethical practices.

Strategic Impact & Analysis

• Identify transaction risks, price-affecting considerations, and value creation opportunities.
• Apply commercial acumen and market awareness to provide actionable insights.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial analysis and transaction processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CA or CFA qualification, ideally first-time passers.
• Strong academic track record with exposure to financial reporting, analysis, and corporate finance.
• Experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory, or valuation projects is advantageous.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical acumen, and market insight.
• Effective communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional client interaction in Mumbai.
