Key Responsibilities
- Champion site reliability culture and practices across your team.
- Act as release manager, developing tools and coordinating cross-team deployments.
- Lead initiatives to improve application reliability and stability using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with teams to define service level indicators (SLIs), objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
- Serve as primary point of contact during major incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to internal forums and communities of practice.
- Break down complex problems into actionable tasks and guide medium-to-large sized product teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience.
- Deep expertise in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise systems, and toil reduction.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java Spring Boot, .NET, etc.).
- Expertise in observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and release management tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform).
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in networking, complex data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to mentor and teach team members in new technologies.
