Role Overview

As an Oracle Data Engineering Analyst, you will be responsible for designing efficient data models, writing complex SQL queries, and ensuring database performance and integrity across Oracle environments. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and business teams to create scalable and reliable data solutions that drive real business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views in Oracle databases.
• Perform data analysis to support both business and technical requirements.
• Assist in database design, modeling, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and optimize slow-running SQL queries and database processes.
• Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to ensure seamless data integration.
• Conduct data validation and cleansing to maintain data quality and accuracy.
• Maintain database security, perform backups and recovery, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Create and maintain data documentation, including flow diagrams and process notes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proven experience in data engineering, ETL, or database development.
• Good understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica.
• Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Certifications in Oracle Database or Data Engineering are a plus.
