About the Role
As an Analyst – Record to Report (R2R), you will support core finance operations by ensuring accurate accounting, ledger management, and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs, maintain compliance with global accounting standards, and contribute to process automation and transformation initiatives within Deloitte’s Finance & Accounting (F&A) operations.
Key Responsibilities
Record to Report Operations
- Execute end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) activities including journal entries, accruals, and month-end closings.
- Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting to ensure data accuracy.
- Support P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement preparation and review.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in period-end reporting, ledger validation, and data consolidation.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and Deloitte internal policies.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support both internal and external audits.
- Adhere to internal controls, data accuracy, and financial governance protocols.
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Participate in initiatives that drive efficiency across F&A operations.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of Record to Report (R2R) and General Ledger (GL) processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA-Inter, CMA, or MBA Finance preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in Finance & Accounts (F&A), preferably within Record to Report, General Accounting, or Financial Reporting.
- Experience in shared services, BPO, or finance transformation projects will be an added advantage.
