Summary

EY is seeking a US BTC Core Advanced Analyst in Chennai to join its Global Corporate Tax (GCR) team. This role is ideal for finance and accounting professionals with 1–2 years of experience in US and international direct tax compliance, income tax accounting, and statutory reporting. Key Responsibilities

US and Global Tax Compliance

  • Assist in preparation of US and non-US direct tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Support income tax provisions for quarterly and annual US GAAP compliance (ASC 740 / FIN48).
  • Assist in statutory tax provisions for local GAAP with EY country teams.

Forecasting & Payments

  • Prepare and review cash tax forecasts by jurisdiction.
  • Manage preparation of estimated and extension tax payments.

Tax Account Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Prepare balance sheet tax account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in booking rectification journal entries and other journal entry packages.

Other Tax Functions

  • Contribute to tax accounting entries, returns to provision, and client deliverables.
  • Support senior analysts and managers in ensuring compliance with internal and external tax obligations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or MBA.
  • 1–2 years of experience in US or Non-US direct tax compliance.
  • Knowledge of income tax accounting (ASC 740 / FIN48).
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

  • Awareness of additional US tax regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply tax legislation in practical scenarios.
