Key Responsibilities
- Execute small to medium SRE projects independently and grow towards autonomous delivery.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and robust code following best software engineering practices.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address root causes.
- Proactively eliminate toil via automation, systems engineering, or code updates.
- Implement and improve observability solutions, including service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), monitoring, and alerting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- 2+ years of applied experience in site reliability or software engineering.
- Ability to code in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or similar).
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with site reliability principles and practices.
- Knowledge of observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Working knowledge of containers and server OS environments such as Linux or Windows.
- Understanding of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- General knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Exposure to cloud-native technologies and services.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Emerging experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools.
