Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end cloud-native microservices for Chase UK digital banking.
- Apply domain modeling and scalable architecture patterns to build high-quality business products.
- Develop secure, maintainable, and testable code, ensuring robust operational performance.
- Optimize data access and storage strategies to meet performance requirements.
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability, proactively addressing potential issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering and applied experience.
- Recent hands-on experience as a back-end software engineer.
- Proficiency in Java programming and modern software testing frameworks (unit, integration, performance testing).
- Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and messaging frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational data stores.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work streams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as banking or finance.
- Expertise in cloud-native microservices architecture, preferably on AWS.
