Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on research to evaluate emerging technologies for cloud innovation.
• Develop and implement innovative technical solutions aligned with CFS strategic goals.
• Create and refine prototypes and pilot programs to validate new technologies.
• Rapidly iterate designs to improve functionality and performance of prototypes.
• Build high-quality, scalable software platforms for incubator and innovation programs.
• Leverage expertise in distributed and cloud-native systems for robust platform development.
• Document technical specifications, designs, and best practices for engineering projects.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with technology leaders, architects, and application engineers to make critical technical decisions.
• Support strategic goals and new product incubation initiatives within the Cloud Foundational Services organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proven experience in hands-on engineering and prototyping, delivering innovative solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices, containers, IaaS, storage, security, and identity.
• Expertise in rapid prototyping and shortening development cycles for software and AI/ML products.
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes.
• Deep knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud computing, AI, machine learning, mobile technologies).
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and peers to implement innovative ideas.
• Strong documentation skills for technical specifications, designs, and best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in emerging technologies such as Quantum Computing.
• Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF.
• Security credentials: SANS, ISC2 (e.g., CISSP) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with financial services industry trends, open-source solutions, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
