Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Engineer – Streaming & Insights, you will:
- Lead design, development, and troubleshooting of secure, high-quality streaming and insights applications.
- Write, review, and debug production-grade code to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architecture, technology, and integration strategies.
- Mentor agile teams and lead communities of practice to adopt new and emerging technologies.
- Promote a team culture of diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
- Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with automation, CI/CD, and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and secure coding practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cloud-native applications, AI/ML, or streaming technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native and AWS experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Kinesis Client Library, AWS Connect, AWS Glue, Kafka, or similar streaming and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native architecture and integration patterns.
