Summary
Mercer, a global leader in healthcare and protection consulting, is seeking a Lead Specialist – Metrics, Analytics & Reporting to join its Gurugram (DLF Tower A) office. This hybrid role (minimum three in-office days per week) offers an opportunity to lead data analytics, reporting, and process optimization for UK healthcare and protection policies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in health insurance administration, data analysis, renewal and market review processes, along with strong stakeholder management, project management, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Specialist – Metrics, Analytics & Reporting, you will:
- Serve as process owner and subject matter expert for UK healthcare products (GLA, GIP, PMI, Dental, Pension).
- Lead renewal and market review processes for healthcare and protection policies.
- Conduct data validation, analysis, and reporting to support consultants and management.
- Draft Renewal and Market Review Reports, proposals, RFQs, and confirmation documents.
- Monitor SLAs, workflows, and team deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Mentor and coach new hires and team members on client deliverables and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives within the team.
- Lead transition calls, create SOPs, PMAPs, and other process documents.
- Manage client relationships, address escalations, and ensure high-quality service.
- Maintain technical knowledge on market and legislative changes impacting healthcare policies.
- Support team leader in risk, compliance, and revenue reporting activities.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, data mining, and reporting skills.
- Expertise in MS Excel (advanced), MS Word, PowerPoint; VBA knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of UK healthcare insurance products and claims underwriting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to multitask, lead projects, and manage complex portfolios.
- Proficiency in project management and quality tools (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen preferred).
- Experience in team mentoring, knowledge transfer, and BPO operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA or finance-related degree preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in health insurance operations, analytics, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of renewal, market review, and client servicing processes.
- Experience in using tools like HBB, GBM, MercerGold+, Power BI, QLIK preferred.
