Summary
WTW is hiring a Vice President – Property & Casualty in Mumbai, Maharashtra to lead strategic account management and growth of Property & Casualty (P&C) portfolios. Key Responsibilities
Client Portfolio & Revenue Growth
- Lead retention, growth, and account management of allocated Property & Casualty accounts.
- Develop strategic initiatives to generate revenue through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Build and nurture a pipeline of new client relationships and deliver measurable revenue outcomes.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage a team of relationship managers and account executives, taking full ownership of client portfolios.
- Mentor and guide team members on technical insurance expertise, client engagement, and operational excellence.
- Conduct quality audits, review RFQs and QCRs, and provide a ‘Second Pair of Eyes (SPOE)’ to ensure highest submission quality.
Technical Insurance Expertise
- Demonstrate expertise in Property, Engineering, Marine insurance products, and provide guidance on coverage gaps or bespoke solutions.
- Stay updated on market trends, product developments, pricing dynamics, and regulatory norms.
- Apply knowledge of reinsurance, Treaty & Fac arrangements where relevant.
Strategic Client Engagement
- Lead strategic discussions and differentiation engagements with corporate clients.
- Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, renewal strategies, Risk Maps, and insurer roadshows.
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across client organizations.
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Oversee service delivery monitoring, including policy issuance, business booking, claims servicing, and endorsements.
- Identify and resolve service red flags proactively to ensure exceptional client experience.
- Collaborate with internal risk engineering teams to align technical expertise with business conversion.
- Drive process improvements and maintain operational documentation standards.
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain awareness of all insurance legislation including the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Act, IRDA Brokers Code of Conduct, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure team operations adhere to WTW standards, values, and best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in Property & Casualty insurance and client relationship management.
- Strong technical knowledge of Property, Engineering, and Marine insurance products.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills with a track record of motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for internal and client engagements.
- Ability to analyze risk, develop strategic solutions, and implement operational improvements.
- Well-connected with industry stakeholders including insurers, underwriters, claims heads, and surveyors.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive revenue growth and deliver measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance, with senior leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in account management, client acquisition, and portfolio growth.
- Knowledge of reinsurance, underwriting, and insurance compliance standards.
