Key Responsibilities

Security Monitoring & Analysis

  • Monitor security events using SIEM and native tools on a 24×7 basis.
  • Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxy servers, email gateways, DHCP, and approved applications.
  • Identify threats, anomalies, and vulnerabilities; perform preliminary and secondary event analysis.
  • Provide incident triage, documentation, and escalation to the incident response team.

Root-Cause Analysis & Incident Response

  • Conduct cybersecurity root-cause analysis for tickets failing to meet quality levels.
  • Document recommendations for corrective actions and share findings with SOC and IT teams.
  • Support ongoing security improvement initiatives and risk mitigation.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with multiple IT and security teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Maintain records of security events and compliance reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years experience in SOC monitoring, cybersecurity operations, or IT security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, Windows OS, and preferably Mac OS/Linux.
  • Understanding of network services, TCP/IP, IP routing, attacks, exploits, and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with VPNs, SSL, encryption methods, and security protocols.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies: SIEM, IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewalls, Antivirus, Proxy, DLP, and Vulnerability Scanners.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
