Summary

Kroll is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst in Mumbai to join its Global Corporate Finance team. This role provides early-career finance professionals the opportunity to work on high-impact M&A transactions, transaction opinions, and restructuring advisory services for public corporations, private equity sponsors, and growth companies. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling, research, and analytical skills, with exposure to Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, FactSet, and Mergermarket, and will actively contribute to deal execution, client deliverables, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities

M&A Deal Execution

• Support all phases of the M&A deal lifecycle in collaboration with local and global teams.
• Conduct company, industry, market, and competitor research and present findings professionally.
• Perform financial modeling, including DCF, comparable company, and transaction analyses.
• Assist in preparing pitch materials, information memoranda, and management presentations.

Research & Analysis

• Track and summarize news, market trends, and relevant financial developments for internal and client use.
• Perform screening, valuation research, and industry/market overviews.
• Support buyer searches and fact-finding exercises during M&A engagements.

Client & Team Collaboration

• Maintain high-quality client deliverables with attention to detail.
• Coordinate management meetings and assist in data room management.
• Work effectively in cross-functional and global engagement teams, learning from senior professionals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 1–2 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory services.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, FactSet, Mergermarket preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Critical thinking, independence, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with senior professionals.
• Flexibility to work across different assignments and service lines.
