Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Partnership Tax Compliance
- Analyse financial data, reconciling accounting entries from SAP, Concur, and Coupa.
- Prepare and finalise partnership tax computation schedules for HMRC submissions.
- Develop corporate tax computations for KPMG UK entities and permanent establishments using Digitax and Alphatax.
- Review and verify tax schedules prepared by team members to ensure accuracy.
- Support ongoing analysis related to KPMG’s global tax obligations, including overseas filing requirements and Country-by-Country reporting.
- Assist in estimating year-end taxable profits and deferred tax calculations.
Overseas Tax Compliance
- Analyse travel and financial data using Alteryx and Excel to ensure compliance with KPMG UK policies.
- Prepare preliminary overseas tax computations and assist with ad hoc data analysis for multiple jurisdictions.
Employment Tax & Reporting
- Collate information from overseas offices to assist in annual compliance and settlement reporting reviews.
Mentorship & Team Support
- Mentor junior team members on tax compliance processes.
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely tax documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to KPMG’s compliance standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in UK corporate tax compliance; knowledge of partnership tax is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers, senior leaders, and junior team members.
- Proven ability to extract, analyse, and interpret financial data quickly.
- Proficiency in Excel and adaptability to KPMG’s internal systems (SAP, Concur, Coupa).
- Strong organisational skills, investigative mindset, and confidentiality awareness.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify when to seek guidance.
Preferred Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Tax laws and financial reporting.
- Over 6 years of experience in corporate/partnership tax compliance or financial data analysis.
- Advanced skills in Excel, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx.
- Knowledge of Data Analytics tools and multitasking proficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Post-Graduate degree preferred; CA/ACCA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years in tax compliance and financial data analysis.
