Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Merchandise Management
- Supervise storeroom operations and guide Storeroom Clerks for smooth workflows
- Receive, inspect, and verify all goods against purchase orders (quality, quantity, and condition)
- Ensure all merchandise is issued, stored, rotated (FIFO), and priced properly
- Maintain accurate receiving logs and submit daily reports to Accounts and F&B Managers
- Organize and safeguard all storeroom keys and access
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain updated files of approved purchase orders and delivery status
- Stamp all invoices and packing slips with official receiving confirmation
- Ensure compliance with hotel procurement policies and safety standards
- Deliver received goods to correct locations as per purchase orders
Operational Efficiency
- Monitor and conduct regular inventory checks (daily for perishables, scheduled for other items)
- Minimize spoilage and maintain stock levels based on par requirements
- Issue monthly Slow-Moving Stock Reports for review
- Assist in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventories
Teamwork & Service Excellence
- Coordinate with different hotel departments to meet procurement needs
- Ensure timely filling of requisitions within storeroom hours
- Handle beverage requisitions as per hotel procedures
- Maintain storerooms in a clean, safe, and accessible condition
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Procurement, or Inventory Management
- Prior experience in hospitality procurement, inventory, or supply chain operations
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food & beverage receiving, storage, and handling procedures
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
