Role Overview – Food & Beverage Controls Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Food and Beverage Controls Associate to join our Novotel Kolkata – Hotel & Residences team. In this role, you will oversee cost control operations across food, beverage, and general store items, ensuring compliance with budgets and supporting the Finance team. You will play a vital role in maintaining financial efficiency while helping deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Receiving Clerk and monitor Food & Beverage requisitions.
- Prepare Sales Analysis, Cost Reports, and Standard Recipe Costing.
- Control non-food purchases against approved budgets.
- Conduct pre-costing of all restaurant and banquet menus.
- Manage inventory of food, beverages, and general store items.
- Monitor minimum/maximum par stock levels for all storeroom items.
- Support the Finance Manager with reporting and cost-related tasks.
- Ensure smooth operations of Cost Control, Storerooms, and Receiving.
- Report and address any issues that may impact hotel operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in food & beverage cost control or finance in the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of inventory systems, budgeting, and cost management.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance and Food & Beverage teams.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
