Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Guest Service Associate at Novotel Kolkata, you will:
- Maintain hotel rooms, public areas, and executive offices to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ensure guest rooms are equipped with fresh linens, amenities, and arranged as per brand standards.
- Handle all housekeeping keys responsibly to ensure safety and security.
- Inspect linens and return below-standard items for replacement.
- Strictly follow lost & found policies and guest property respect protocols.
- Perform daily duties such as dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, and arranging furniture.
- Respond to guest requests courteously and professionally.
- Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
- Ensure corridors, fire exits, and floor pantries are kept clean and organized.
- Accurately handle housekeeping desk communications and records.
- Coordinate with supervisors for room status, guest preferences, and special requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Prior experience in housekeeping, room attendant, or cleaning roles in hotels (preferred).
- A Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Good communication skills; English proficiency preferred.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
