Responsibilities
As a Dot Net Lead Developer at Caterpillar, you will:
- Gather, analyze, and validate functional and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, test, and implement LabVIEW-based and .NET applications.
- Perform functional, integration, and system testing.
- Document software architectures, design specifications, test plans, and cases.
- Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using tools like Process Monitor, Event Viewer, Wireshark, and Fiddler.
- Collaborate with internal customers, test cell engineers, and technicians to enhance software solutions.
- Provide on-site support for test systems as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years in software development (LabVIEW, C++, MATLAB, .NET).
- Experience with data acquisition systems, test instrumentation, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of software life cycle processes: analysis, design, development, deployment, and support.
- Ability to design and execute effective testing strategies.
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and debugging.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GitHub, and TPS languages.
- Certified LabVIEW Associate/Developer/Architect/Embedded Developer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter attitude with high attention to detail.
