Responsibilities
As a Technical Staff, Software Engineering (I10) at Dell Technologies, you will:
- Lead the design and development of scalable, secure VDI-thin client software across Linux and Windows platforms.
- Architect system-level solutions integrating AI, GenAI, and virtualization technologies for datacenter scalability and performance.
- Provide technical vision, mentorship, and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams.
- Act as a technical escalation point, hosting reviews and aligning solutions with Dell’s roadmap.
- Collaborate with partners and customers to assess needs and design scalable enterprise-class solutions.
- Drive innovation and IP creation via invention disclosures, open-source contributions, and differentiated solution design.
- Oversee end-to-end development and deployment of next-generation OS and virtualization solutions aligned with business goals.
Essential Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in software engineering, including technical leadership and escalation handling.
- Proven expertise in Linux and Windows OS internals, virtualization, distributed systems, and enterprise software.
- Hands-on coding and debugging experience in C, C++, and Linux kernels.
- Proficiency in datacenter-scale cluster deployments, benchmarking across compute, storage, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, DevSecOps, Agile, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in vendor engagement and ecosystem partnerships.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Contributions to the Linux Community and open-source ecosystems.
- Experience driving innovation in GenAI, cloud-native development, and enterprise-scale AI solutions.
- Track record of mentoring senior engineers and leading global-scale development initiatives.
