Deloitte India (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP) is hiring an Associate Director – Mergers & Acquisitions (Corporate Finance) for its Delhi office (with opportunities in Mumbai and Bangalore as well).
This role sits within Deloitte’s Corporate Finance Advisory team, providing clients with end-to-end M&A advisory, investment banking services, and financial restructuring solutions. As an Associate Director, you will lead transaction execution, business development, financial modeling, sector coverage, and negotiations—with a focus on the financial services sector (banking, NBFCs, insurance, asset management, fintech, and more).

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end transaction execution across M&A, capital raises, restructurings, and strategic wind-ups.
- Generate new ideas, project leads, and business opportunities within the financial services sector.
- Build sector expertise by tracking financial products, valuations, benchmarks, and industry trends.
- Deliver high-quality financial models, valuation reports, and client presentations.
- Guide junior team members and ensure timely closure of transactions/projects.
- Contribute to thought leadership in M&A and financial services.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
Desired Qualifications
- Education:
- CA / MBA (preferred CFA / Premier B-School).
- Experience:
- 8–11 years in investment banking, private equity, or equity research within financial services.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
- Strong grasp of M&A transaction structures, deal documents, and negotiations.
- Excellent report writing, reviewing, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask across multiple engagements.
- Preferred Background:
- Candidates from other Big 4 firms or leading Investment Banks will be prioritized.
