About the Role:

Join Jaipur Marriott Hotel as a Junior Sous Chef – Indian Cuisine and play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This entry-level management position focuses on leading kitchen operations, maintaining culinary standards, and driving food quality while ensuring guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the culinary team to manage food production, kitchen sanitation, inventory control, and overall employee performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Operations & Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee production, preparation, and presentation of Indian cuisine and other food items.
  • Maintain high quality standards for raw and cooked food products.
  • Coordinate with Restaurant and Banquet departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Prepare food items, lead kitchen shifts, and handle high-demand service periods.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring proper staffing, supplies, and equipment.
  • Mentor kitchen staff and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing training to team members.
  • Monitor team performance and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Lead by example to inspire high standards of work and morale.

Menu Development & Innovation

  • Support creation and execution of new menu items, concepts, and food promotions.
  • Assist in designing decorative food displays for special occasions.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Manage food and supply inventories while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Purchase supplies and track inventory usage effectively.

Guest Satisfaction & Service Excellence

  • Promote positive guest interactions and address complaints with empathy and efficiency.
  • Empower the team to deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with Marriott’s hospitality standards.

Additional Duties

  • Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements.
  • Attend departmental and hotel-wide meetings.

Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in culinary, food & beverage, or related fields.
    OR
  • 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
