Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Prepare cold foods, and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food to ensure it is cooked correctly and meets quality standards.
- Set up and break down work stations efficiently.
- Serve food in proper portions and presentation.
Kitchen Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Ensure correct temperature of appliances and food.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Teamwork & Communication
- Support team members and develop positive working relationships.
- Speak clearly and professionally to colleagues.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of others.
Physical & Operational Requirements
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience.
- Strong attention to detail, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-paced kitchen environment.
