Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, washing, and storing fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Follow recipes and culinary checklists to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves to prepare hot and cold dishes.
- Monitor and test food to confirm proper cooking and quality standards.
- Serve food in proper portions and ensure presentation meets Ritz-Carlton standards.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and break down workstations efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check appliance and food temperatures for safety and quality compliance.
- Assist other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Safety, Standards & Teamwork
- Follow all company and safety policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
