Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, washing, and storing food.
- Follow recipes and food preparation checklists to maintain quality and presentation standards.
- Cook cold and hot dishes, operating ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves.
- Test and monitor food to ensure proper doneness and quality.
- Serve food in proper portions and ensure presentation meets Ritz-Carlton standards.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and break down workstations efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Monitor appliance and food temperatures for safety compliance.
- Assist other kitchen staff with preparation and organization as needed.
Safety, Standards & Teamwork
- Follow all company and safety policies, reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and develop positive working relationships.
- Stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors to support kitchen operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.
