Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee general ledger processes, including account balancing, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for management review.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company accounting regulations.
- Perform audits, account verifications, and financial reviews to safeguard resort assets.
- Monitor taxes, credit card ledgers, and direct-billed group accounts.
Budgeting & Operational Support
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Assist property leadership in making data-driven business decisions.
- Develop strategies to optimize costs and improve profitability.
- Track and manage departmental goals, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Train, mentor, and coach accounting team members on procedures and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment, motivating staff and ensuring productivity.
- Delegate tasks effectively and maintain clear communication across teams.
- Provide guidance on accounting policies, procedures, and operational controls.
Problem Solving & Reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities.
- Present actionable insights to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure timely follow-up on financial queries and reporting requirements.
- Handle escalations related to accounting or finance with professionalism.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial systems.

Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; no prior experience required.
- Option 2: 2-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; 2 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
- Familiarity with hospitality finance is a plus.
