Key Responsibilities
ETL Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
- Build parallel jobs using Copy, Join, Merge, Lookup, Funnel, Filter, Sort, Aggregator, Change Capture, and Transformer stages.
- Import data from heterogeneous sources including Oracle, SQL Server, and flat files.
- Optimize and troubleshoot ETL pipelines for performance and reliability.
Data Analysis & Quality
- Collaborate with data analysts and architects to understand business requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple sources.
- Conduct mapping design for multiple file loading and maintain data warehousing standards.
Technical Support & Documentation
- Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce ETL best practices.
- Track defects and change requests using JIRA in Agile projects.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Understand varying stakeholder demands and operational requirements.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for critical production issues.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to business and IT teams.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with IBM DataStage ETL development.
- Proficiency in SQL and UNIX environments.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design.
- Knowledge of ETL lifecycle, migration, testing, and optimization.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and Jira for project tracking.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in ETL development and data integration
