Summary
Join Chevron as a Permit Writer in Bengaluru, India, and play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient operations within Chevron’s LNG and refinery facilities. As a key member of the Maintenance and Turnaround Planning organization, you will draft and manage permits using electronic Control of Work (eCoW) systems, ensuring all maintenance and turnaround activities are executed safely and in alignment with Chevron policies. This role combines operational expertise, technical documentation skills, and process compliance to support Chevron’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft and manage permits using Chevron’s electronic Control of Work (eCoW) system.
- Collaborate with permit requesters to validate, approve, and execute permits.
- Ensure all permits comply with Chevron Work Authorization Manual and company safety policies.
- Gather and attach required supporting documentation, including:
- Isolation Confirmation Certificates (ICC)
- Bypass Critical Protection Certificates (BCP)
- Marked-up diagrams, purpose statements, hazard analyses, and alternative protection measures.
- Coordinate with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure proper documentation and scope alignment.
- Support maintenance and turnaround planning teams to ensure timely and safe execution of work.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in permit writing and workflow management.
Required Skills
- Strong operations or maintenance background in refinery or LNG environments.
- Expertise in permit writing and control of work systems.
- Deep knowledge of maintenance planning processes, including work prioritization, scheduling, and execution.
- Proficiency in creating accurate, compliant documentation for complex maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in Engineering or Maintenance discipline.
- Experience in maintenance or production planning, permit preparation, and compliance in complex facilities.
- Working knowledge of eCoW or permit-to-work systems.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of field experience supporting maintenance activities in refineries or LNG facilities.
- Prior experience with Permit Vision or similar electronic control of work systems.
- Proficiency with Excel, JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and develop contingency plans.
