Chevron ENGINE is seeking a Communications Advisor in Bengaluru, India, to lead internal and external communication strategies, enhance stakeholder engagement, and strengthen Chevron’s corporate reputation. This role focuses on digital and social media communication, media relations, crisis management, and workforce engagement. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, strong media management expertise, and the ability to influence and coach senior leaders while promoting Chevron’s “One Chevron” culture.

Key Responsibilities
External Communications
- Develop and execute strategic external communication plans to strengthen Chevron’s brand and reputation.
- Provide hands-on support for media relations, including digital and social media engagement.
- Advise on communication trends, optimize messaging, and ensure impactful audience engagement.
- Coach senior leaders on media interactions and presentations.
- Prepare media briefings, talking points, speeches, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Manage content for Chevron’s website, social media channels, and publications.
- Ensure consistent brand expression across India operations.
Internal Communications
- Implement workforce communication strategies to boost employee engagement and retention.
- Create internal content, including articles, emails, presentations, speeches, and video scripts.
- Support town halls, lunch-and-learns, and other employee engagement events.
- Coach leaders on effective internal communication and presentation delivery.
Crisis Communications
- Serve as part of the Chevron India Emergency Management Team for crisis preparedness and response.
- Participate in emergency drills and exercises to test communication readiness.
- Deliver clear and timely communication to stakeholders during crises, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate strategies.
Stakeholder & Reputation Management
- Support management of key external stakeholder relationships including media and industry forums.
- Represent Chevron at events and forums to maintain a consistent and professional brand presence.
Special Projects & Team Collaboration
- Lead special projects to support Corporate Affairs strategic initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with internal clients and Corporate Affairs team members to deliver high-quality communications.
- Uphold professional standards and embody the Chevron Way in all stakeholder interactions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in corporate communications strategy, media relations, and digital engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft messages for diverse audiences.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to represent Chevron externally with credibility.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external.
- Experience in coaching leaders on communications and delivering high-impact presentations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, community relations, or social sciences preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for stakeholder engagement and media management.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate communications or related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Media management experience, including handling inquiries and understanding the media landscape.
- Experience in digital and social media engagement.
