Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of software development and network automation projects within the Network Tools portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineers and service owners to gather requirements, design solutions, and document development architecture.
  • Develop, validate, and deploy custom network tools and APIs to automate and improve network infrastructure management.
  • Support integration and maintenance of hosting services through tool development.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, testing, and integration for new technology and software solutions.
  • Provide on-call application support as needed to ensure tool availability and performance.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative automation solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with IT teams and business leaders to deliver impactful network automation capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience with Node.js, REST API integration, and automation scripting.
  • Proven expertise in modern web technologies including HTML5, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap 5, and JSON/XML.
  • Experience with Golang (Go) programming for 2+ years.
  • Solid knowledge of databases such as MongoDB and relational databases (Oracle), with strong SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Ability to support legacy Perl applications during migration to Golang.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and communication skills (fluent in English).
  • Strong multitasking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Perl scripting in Unix/Linux or cloud environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, Cisco equipment, and cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of Cisco APIC and network automation tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure architecture covering network, storage, and hosting environments.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner with a proactive approach to technology challenges.
