🚀 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy code to improve service reliability, uptime, and performance.
  • Design, implement, and manage backend systems using Golang, PostgreSQL, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for efficient system management.
  • Optimize cost and performance across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to promote observability and proactive monitoring.
  • Create automation for on-call alerting, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, contributing to postmortems and resilience planning.
  • Apply platform engineering principles to infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure security compliance, participate in security audits, and follow best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks and system designs.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource forecasting.

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, preferably on GCP.
  • Proficient in monitoring and observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, Golang, and scripting languages (Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with relational/document databases and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

✅ Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

  • Experience with incident management, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Prior work on multi-region cloud systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., GitHub), and DevSecOps tools.
  • Exposure to security compliance, disaster recovery planning, and platform scalability.
