Key Responsibilities
Android Automotive OS Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Android Automotive OS applications and system-level components specifically for BMW vehicles.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, hardware engineers, and backend developers to create seamless, integrated in-car user experiences.
- Optimize app performance to meet stringent automotive-grade standards for reliability, security, and responsiveness.
Software Quality & Security
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure high-quality and secure software releases.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs while strictly adhering to OEM security and performance guidelines.
Innovation & Continuous Learning
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in Android development and automotive software technology.
- Proactively suggest improvements to enhance application functionality and user experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Android application development, preferably with exposure to Android Automotive OS.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
- Experience working with automotive-grade software development and understanding OEM requirements is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
