Key Responsibilities
As a Cloud Consultant at Deloitte India, your role will involve:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Filestore.
- Configure and maintain cloud-based backup and recovery solutions for clients, utilizing tools like Veeam and Commvault.
2. Backup & Recovery
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery (DR) services within GCP to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Conduct regular backup testing, plan and execute disaster recovery drills to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
3. Automation & Scripting
- Write scripts in Python and Shell Scripting to automate cloud administration tasks, making processes efficient and scalable.
- Collaborate with teams to automate cloud workflows and integrate cloud services with internal systems.
4. Problem Resolution & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring timely resolutions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are designed, deployed, and supported effectively.
5. Documentation & Collaboration
- Document cloud infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery plans, and automation procedures.
- Collaborate with process owners and business teams to understand existing processes and optimize them with cloud solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
Key Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Proficiency in key GCP services like Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Backup and Recovery solutions.
- Backup & Recovery Solutions: Experience with Veeam, Commvault, and GCP’s Backup & DR services.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong experience with Python and Shell scripting to automate cloud processes.
- Storage Technologies: Familiarity with NAS, SAN, and other cloud storage concepts.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong focus on data security and adherence to cloud security best practices.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud administration with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
