Key Responsibilities
As a Cloud Consultant at Deloitte, your role will include:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Development
- Design and implement cloud solutions using Terraform and AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS).
- Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions and GitHub Runners.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in managing IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
2. Automation & Scripting
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline cloud operations.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and AWS ECS/EKS for seamless deployments.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using AWS CloudWatch, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance.
3. Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with clients and business owners to understand existing processes and design automation solutions.
- Assist in the documentation of solutions, test procedures, and troubleshooting steps during deployment.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams to ensure effective implementation and resolution of issues.
4. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing
- Stay updated with the latest trends in cloud computing, AWS, and Terraform.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, team meetings, and contribute to cloud technology best practices.
- Support senior engineers in managing cloud deployments, patching, and configuration updates.
Skills & Expertise
The ideal Cloud Consultant at Deloitte will possess the following skills:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, AWS, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker, and AWS ECS/EKS.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (IAM roles, policies, encryption).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS and Terraform.
- Strong portfolio or experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with Linux environments and basic networking concepts.
