Key Responsibilities
- Lead Account Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of financial accounts for global clients, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Manage monthly financial reviews and audits, ensuring financial statements’ accuracy and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of account reconciliation experts, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the point of contact for global regions such as APAC, NAM, LATAM, and MENA, managing expectations and building relationships.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline the reconciliation process, reduce manual tasks, and enhance accuracy.
- Governance & Compliance: Conduct monthly governance meetings, ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Training & Development: Lead and mentor junior team members, offering continuous learning opportunities and fostering professional growth.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading teams in account reconciliation or finance controllership functions.
- Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly revenue recognition, deferred revenue, cost accruals, and liabilities.
- Tools & Systems: Proficiency in SAP, Blackline, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data and transactions, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting Certifications: CA/CPA with at least 4 years of experience, or CA-inter with 6 years, or B.Com/M.Com with 9+ years of experience.
- US GAAP Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. GAAP is an added advantage.
- Experience with SAP & Blackline: Hands-on experience with accounting tools like SAP and Blackline.
- Multinational Exposure: Experience working with global clients across different regions (e.g., APAC, MENA, LATAM).
