Key Responsibilities

  • Core Java Development: Design and develop reusable, efficient, and scalable Java applications with a focus on performance.
  • Reactive Programming & WebFlux: Utilize Java Reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor) for building non-blocking, high-performance microservices.
  • AWS Cloud: Leverage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB) to deploy and manage applications in the cloud.
  • Terraform for IaC: Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless, automated deployment using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • DevOps Practices: Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve the software development lifecycle and enhance automation and deployment processes.
  • System Monitoring: Ensure application availability and performance through system monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with QA engineers, product managers, and front-end developers to deliver top-quality software.
  • Code Reviews & Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, ensuring industry best practices in security, design, and software development.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Core Java: Expertise in Core Java programming, multi-threading, and object-oriented design.
  • Reactive Programming & WebFlux: Strong experience in building reactive microservices using Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor.
  • AWS Cloud: In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and more.
  • Terraform: Practical experience in using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • CI/CD Tools: Proficient in Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • DevOps: Strong understanding of DevOps practices to streamline the development pipeline and enhance automation.
  • Microservices: Experience designing and deploying microservices architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git for source control management.
  • Agile Methodology: Understanding of Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with security best practices in cloud applications (IAM, encryption, etc.).

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in Java development, with 2+ years specializing in Reactive programming and WebFlux.
  • Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform for provisioning and automation.
  • DevOps: Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
