Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Java Consultant at Deloitte, you will:

• Core Java Development: Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and reusable Java applications.
• Reactive Programming: Develop microservices using Java Reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor) to handle real-time data and achieve non-blocking I/O operations.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work with AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB to build and deploy applications in the cloud.
• Infrastructure Automation: Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to streamline software delivery and deployments.
• DevOps Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps team to implement automated processes, ensure seamless deployments, and improve development workflows.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver robust, scalable software solutions.
• Code Reviews & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and implement industry best practices for security and design.

Skills & Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Core Java: Expertise in Core Java, multi-threading, and object-oriented design.
  • Java Reactive Programming: Hands-on experience with Spring WebFlux or other Reactive programming frameworks.
  • Cloud Technologies: In-depth experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience in Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
  • DevOps: Practical knowledge of DevOps principles and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Microservices: Experience in microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git for version control management.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with security practices in cloud applications (IAM, encryption).
• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 2 years in Reactive programming and WebFlux.
  • Experience working with AWS and Terraform in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proven experience in a DevOps setup with CI/CD practices.
