🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain EHS management systems as per IMS and EHS manuals.
- Identify safety training needs; design and deliver EHS training programs for staff, visitors, subcontractors, and workmen.
- Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements through regular audits.
- Conduct periodic site safety inspections and report findings with recommended corrective actions.
- Review and improve site EHS performance via key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Organize safety campaigns, competitions, and special emphasis programs to promote workplace safety culture.
- Oversee and support the performance of Site EHS Stewards in your area.
- Coordinate risk assessments and collaborate with engineers to develop Safe Work Methods Statements (SWMS).
- Lead incident investigations, analyze trends, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
- Drive emergency preparedness and response initiatives at project sites.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly EHS performance reports to headquarters.
- Verify the quality and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gadgets onsite.
🧠 Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHS&E) management systems.
- Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness.
- Proficient in conducting safety audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance checks.
- Effective in training design and delivery across multiple workforce levels.
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and promote a safety-first culture.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) or equivalent.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in EHS management, preferably in power transmission, infrastructure, or construction projects.
