Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform routine laboratory tests and handle specimens following established protocols.
- Operate and maintain lab instruments, ensuring accurate and timely test results.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and stains according to standard procedures.
- Monitor stock levels of reagents and consumables; report shortages promptly.
- Document daily maintenance tasks, including temperature charts and log books.
- Report any instrument breakdowns immediately to the clinical biochemist.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory and ensure equipment is properly sanitized.
- Support the lab team in quality control and timely delivery of laboratory reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate in Science, DMLT, BMLT, or related field with 1st division in 10th, 12th, and B.Sc.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in laboratory services or clinical nursing preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Familiarity with current professional and technical developments in laboratory work.
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate approach towards patient care.
