🩺 Key Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Medicine Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing and interpreting Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and ABG analysis.
- Operating and maintaining ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and related equipment.
- Supporting physicians in bronchoscopy and airway management procedures.
- Monitoring patients under respiratory care in ICU and general wards.
- Assisting in emergency respiratory support interventions.
- Documenting therapy sessions and reporting patient progress.
- Educating patients and families on respiratory therapy plans and device use.
🧠 Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with ventilators and PFT interpretation.
- Strong understanding of respiratory physiology, therapy protocols, and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, critical care environments.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and EMR systems.
🎓 Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Allied Health Sciences, or Nursing.
- 1–3 years of practical experience in a hospital respiratory department.
- Valid certification in BLS/ACLS preferred.
- Familiarity with ICU protocols and respiratory monitoring systems.
