Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Resident in Cardiology, you will:

  • Assist senior consultants in cardiac OPD and IPD procedures
  • Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, and interpret diagnostic results
  • Manage patients in ICCU, Emergency, and Cardiac Wards
  • Handle diagnostic tools like ECG, ECHO, TMT, and Holter monitors
  • Support interventional procedures in the Cath Lab
  • Document patient histories, updates, and discharge summaries
  • Participate in clinical audits, case presentations, and academic discussions

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of clinical cardiology and cardiac pharmacology
  • Proficiency in interpreting ECGs, ECHOs, and cardiac imaging reports
  • Emergency response capability in acute cardiac scenarios
  • Excellent communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and digital documentation

Qualifications

  • MBBS with completed internship
  • DNB/MD in Internal Medicine or equivalent preferred
  • Registration with the Medical Council of India or Tamil Nadu Medical Council
  • Prior experience in a cardiac care unit is advantageous
