Join Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP as a Deputy Manager – Cybersecurity (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing – VAPT) in Bhubaneswar CEC.
In this key role within Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation (T&T) Cyber Detect & Respond (D&R) team, you’ll protect enterprise environments from cyber threats by conducting penetration testing, red teaming, and vulnerability assessments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment

• Conduct Web Application Penetration Testing (WAPT) and Infrastructure VAPT across diverse environments.
• Perform API security testing and mobile app penetration testing (iOS & Android).
• Identify, exploit, and report security vulnerabilities following OWASP and NIST guidelines.
• Develop and maintain Red Teaming exercises simulating real-world attacks.

2. Cybersecurity Operations

• Review and analyze network security configurations (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Routers, Switches).
• Perform configuration audits of operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Solaris) and databases.
• Support vulnerability management cycles, including triage, prioritization, and remediation.
• Assist in threat hunting, incident response, and security posture assessments.

3. Tools & Automation

• Utilize and manage tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus, Nexpose, Qualys Guard, Acunetix, and AppScan.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, or Perl to streamline security tasks.
• Analyze results, generate reports, and communicate findings to clients and leadership teams.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with global cybersecurity teams to define and enhance testing methodologies.
• Present findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to Deloitte’s continuous learning culture.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, or vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience in Web, API, Infrastructure, and Mobile App security testing.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Kali Linux, Nessus, Acunetix, AppScan, Qualys, Nmap, and Metasploit.
• Working knowledge of VPNs, IPSEC, SSL, SSH, SMTP, FTP, and related technologies.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as GPEN, CREST, or OSWE.
• Exposure to Red Teaming, Threat Simulation, or Purple Team operations.
• Understanding of SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and SOC operations.
• Prior experience in large enterprises, consulting, or Managed Security Services (MSS) environments.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
• Professional certifications (CEH, LPT, OSCP) are mandatory.
